Warrior Wrestling 4 results 3/15/19

Warrior Wrestling 4 results from Chicago Heights, Illinois on 3/15/19 at Marian Catholic High School live on Highspots Wrestling Network:

Rich Bocchini and Nick Hausman were the announcers.

6-Man Scramble Match: Rich Swann vs. Isaias Velazquez vs. Gringo Loco vs. Andrew Everett vs. Bryce Benjamin vs. Ace Austin

Ace Austin pinned Swann after a running blockbuster. Good stuff when Swann and Loco were in there. It was your typical scramble match with a fast pace and lots of dives. Swann came in wearing the Impact Wrestling X-Division Title.

This was Everett’s last match for a while as he will be having knee surgery soon. He is doing a gimmick where he calls himself “Andrew the Giant” thinking he’s Andre the Giant. He gave everyone in the match a chokeslam and then a comedy bit where he chokeslammed himself. The crowd ate it up.

Brian Pillman, Jr. vs. Robert Anthony (with Frank the Clown)

Frank cut a long promo before the match and put himself over calling himself a “WWE Network Megastar”. The crowd booed and chanted “boring”. He said Pillman looks like a stunt double for David Spade in the movie “Joe Dirt”.

Anthony got the pin after a DVD thanks to distraction from Frank. Short match. Cool spot as Pillman went “Air Pillman” with a springboard off the middle of the top rope out of the ring onto Anthony over the guardrail.

After the match, Anthony used duct tape to restrain Pillman’s hands and Frank used scissors to cut a piece of Pillman’s hair.

Moose vs. Wardlow

Wardlow pinned Moose with a sunset flip as Moose tried to charge him with the spear.

Freelance Wrestling Champion Kylie Rae vs. Britt Baker

Baker won by DQ when Jessicka Havok came in the ring just as she had the mandible claw on Rae. Havok gave Baker a stomp to the back of the head to break it up. Havok then gave Rae a chokebomb. She followed up by giving both Baker and Rae a chokeslam at the same time.

OVE came out to the ring. Sami Callihan cut a ranting promo but of course the mic was indie level bad and it was hard to understand what he was saying.

Austin Aries then came to the stage with a big tree branch/walking stick in his hand. His mic was bad too. The announcers said he was upset that OVE was taking too much time out of the show and his match was next.

Austin Aries vs. Eddie Edwards

Edwards won by DQ after Aries hit him with the tree branch/walking stick as he was attempting to do a suicide dive to the outside. The crowd groaned as that was two back to back DQ finishes. OVE came back out and briefly brawled with Aries as he was walking to the locker room.

Swoggle and Kongo Kong vs. Chris Castro and Matt Knicks vs. Shane Sabre and Space Monkey

Sabre pinned Knicks with a jackknife after Space Monkey threw down a banana peel in the middle of the ring and Knicks slipped on it. Swoggle and Kong celebrated with Sabre and Monkey after the match.

Sammy Guevara vs. DJZ

Guevara pinned DJZ with a roll up and a handful of tights. Best match on the show by far. Lots of innovative and high flying stuff. Rich said DJZ might be headed for a bigger stage which could mean anything these days in pro wrestling.

Sam Adonis came out for his usual heel promo. He said he was supposed to face LA Park but LA Park wasn’t there tonight. He said he would now have an open challenge.

The announcers said LA Park not being there was news to them.

LA Park then entered the ring with a chair but Adonis cut him off immediately.

LA Park pinned Adonis after a powerbomb on two chairs set up on the ring. It was a bizarre comedy match with the referee playing heel at times and helping Adonis attack Park. Park gave the ref a low blow during the match then ripped off his shirt so he could pour beer all down his back.

Toward the end of the match a masked wrestler came out on stage with the big screen showing his name as Project. The announcers said he is the next evolution of Pat Monix.

Progress Women’s Champion Jordynne Grace vs. Lisa Marie Varon

Grace pinned Varon with a package driver. Grace showed respect to Varon after, but Varon attacked her and gave her the Widow’s Peak. Grace was favoring her knee in pain after.

Warrior Wrestling Champion Brain Cage vs. Dezmond Xavier vs. Trey Miguel vs. Zachary Wentz

Melissa Santos came out as the guest ring announcer to introduce Cage.

Brain Cage pinned Xavier after the drill crawl. Lots of high flying stuff. After the match Wardlow entered the ring and arrogantly stared down Cage.

Principal Steve came out and announced the next show is May 12. He ran down the card but it was hard to hear with the bad mic. Jordynne Grace vs. Tessa Blanchard to decide the first Warrior Wrestling Women’s Champion. Robert Anthony vs. Brian Pillman, Jr.- (If Anthony wins he gets to cut Pillman’s hair. If Pillman wins he gets 5 minutes in the ring with Frank the Clown). Warrior Wrestling Champion Brain Cage vs. Wardlow.

Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky vs. Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, and Dave Crist

SCU get the win after Daniels hit the Best Moonsault Ever into Kazarian’s tombstone piledriver to pin Jake Christ. The ref was accidentally bumped during the match. Jessicka Havok came in and gave Daniels a chokebomb. Britt Baker and Kylie Rae made the save by giving Havok a pair of super kicks to send her out of the ring.
