Austin Gunn pinned Dante Caballero after the famouser in a Top Prospects Tournament semifinal match.

Gunn had a haircut and trunks just like his father Billy Gunn. Before the finish there were a couple of unnecessary ref bumps. Gunn first accidentally squashed the ref in the corner and showed a look of concern thinking he would be disqualified for it. Caballero then grabbed a bottle of water or alcohol and spit it in the ref’s face but he wasn’t DQ’ed either. The referee acted blinded in the corner and they continued to wrestle for several more seconds until Gunn hit the finisher.

During the match Brian Johnson briefly joined commentary without being invited and he complained about being eliminated from the tournament. He was wearing a Hulk Hogan t-shirt. They cut his mic and Ian said he wasn’t sure if that kind of shirt was even allowed to be shown on camera.

The finals of the tournament will be Gunn vs. Dak Draper on the pay-per-view in Las Vegas on 9/27/19.

Josh Woods and Silas Young beat Okumura and PJ Black when Woods submitted Okumura to an armbar and choke. The Bouncer were on commentary then the left to go to the ring to give Woods and Young a beer after the match.

Sumie Sakai and Jenny Rose beat Angelina Love and Mandy Leon by DQ in just a few minutes. Rose had Leon in a submission hold. Love yanked Sakai off the ring and threw her into the guardrail then matched into the the ring and sprayed hairspray in the face of Rose right in front of the referee for the DQ. Sakai returned to the ring to go after Love but the heels took her down.

After the match Love and Leon brought out a table from under the ring and they were going to put Sakai through but the lights went out. Maria Manic appeared behind them and Leon immediately ran away in fear. Manic was going to choke slam Love but security ran in and Love escaped. Manic beat up all of the security guards instead and choke slammed one of them through the table.

ROH TV Champion Shane Taylor went to a 15-minute time limit draw with Joe Hendry in a non-title match. The stipulation was that Hendry had to either beat Taylor or last the time limit in order to get a future title shot. Taylor told him after it was over that they weren’t done with each other. He said this was just an exhibition. Hendry said he proved himself and he’ll be taking the title.

ROH Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe won a 3-Way Non-Title Match over Rey Bucanero and Hechicero, and Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas when The Briscoes pinned Bucanero after the Jay Driller.

After the match Vinny Marseglia ran out and hit The Bouncers from behind with a chair. Young and Woods made the save and Marseglia ran off.

Rush pinned Barbaro Cavernario after the Bull’s Horn. This was a hard hitting match with a few dives and more competitive than usual for a Rush match.

Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, and Jeff Cobb beat Caristico, Stuka Jr., and Triton when Gresham pinned Triton after the combination cutter. Lots of action in a Lucha style match including Stuka Jr. hitting the torpedo splash.

Colt Cabana won a 4-Way Match over Kenny King, Dalton Castle, and Marty Scurll when Cabana pinned Castle after a moonsault.

Before the match, King and Amy Rose came out on stage. King had a big white bandage on his head that covered up one eye. He said the same cameraman filming him tonight caused the injury to him last night in Dearborn. He showed footage of himself accidentally walking face first in the camera after he beat Jeff Cobb and Tracy Williams in the 3-Way on that show. He accused the cameraman of working with The Great Muta to blind him.

King worked the first half of the match with the bandage over him then he took it off to show that he faked the whole thing. Cabana poked him in the eye and he was temporarily blinded and cradled the referee in a pin attempt thinking that he was Cabana.

ROH World Champion Matt Taven pinned Volador Jr. after a draping Climax off the rope. Volador connected with the plancha suicida and the Volador Special. Later in the match he went for a moonsault but Taven got the knees up.

Brody King, PCO, and Flip Gordon beat Bandido, Mark Haskins, and Tracy Williams in a Chicago Street Fight when Flip pinned Williams after giving him the Flip Five into several chairs set up in the ring. When it was over Gordon was bleeding badly from behind his ear or the back of his head. His neck and shoulder was covered in blood.
