Michigan Pro Wrestling historian Mark Bujan passed along these retro results which I thought were cool enough to share.
Detroit’s Big Time Wrestling results of their final show at Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. 🇺🇸 on October 12, 1980:
Malcolm Monroe defeated Rick Bolton.
Rick Davidson and John Davidson defeated Bobby Colt and John Boy Ruffin.
“Bulldog” Don Kent defeated Mighty Igor by count out.
The Sheik defeated Bob White. White was a substitute for Bobo Brazil.
Andre The Giant and Bob Backlund defeated The Wild Samoans in a 2/3 Falls Match by Disqualification.
WWF Champion Bob Backlund went to a no contest with Ken Patera.
The company would close at the end of 1980 and never return. Canadian wrestler/promoter George “Cry Baby” Cannon tried to take over the Detroit area with shows of his own afterwards but he was not successful.
The WWF ran its first ever show in Detroit in December 1984 at Joe Louis Arena.
Malcolm Monroe would go on to promote Michigan indie shows off and on in throughout the 1990s. His son and grandson are currently wrestlers and promoters with the XICW group in the Detroit area.
The Sheik’s sons, Eddie Farhat Jr. and Tommy Farhat, have run shows under the AWWL Big Time Wrestling banner at times over the last two decades in Lansing, Michigan and Jackson, Michigan.
