WWE Starrcade Results 12/1/19

WWE Starrcade results from Duluth, Georgia at Infinite Energy Center with portions live on WWE Network on 12/1/19:

Before the WWE Network show, Seth Rollins pinned Erik Rowan after a curb stomp.

Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura pinned The Miz.

Tom Phillip and Bryon Saxton are the live broadcast team. They opened the show standing at ringside to run down the card. They said this brand started in 2017 but the first Starrcade was 36 years ago and it was started by Dusty Rhodes.

Kevin Owens came out for a special Kevin Owens Show with Ric Flair. An emotional Flair talked about the history of Starrcade and pro wrestling on Thanksgiving. He said the fans were there for Starrcade while the Patriots were playing on TV. He thanked Harley Race for making great moments with him and he thanked Dusty Rhodes for creating it. He said at the end of the day everyone in wrestling are all a family. He said everyone in the back tonight is waiting to make new moments.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson came out and interrupted. They said they should show highlights of all their great moments on the screen instead of this show.

The Steet Profits came out and challenged The OC to a match. They invited Flair to stay at ringside in their corner.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Ford pinned Anderson after a frog splash set up by a spine buster from Dawkins. Ric Flair celebrated in the ring with them afterwards.

Bayley and Sasha Banks did an arrogant promo backstage saying the show needed them to be a success.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley in a Fatal Four Way where anyone can tag anyone

Phillips said this was Bliss’ first match in two months and Saxton wondered if she has ring rust. She actually worked this same match last night in Mexico City.

Asuka submitted Cross in the same finish as last night in Mexico City. It was fun to see all the women star power in the ring at once but it never felt like Asuka and Sane were in danger of losing the titles.

Bobby Lashley and Lana were shown holding hands backstage with arrogant smiles on their faces.

Bobby Lashley (with Lana) vs. Rusev

Lana got on the mic and put over how hot Lashley is and how much he appreciated her compared to Rusev. Lashley said Rusev will never appreciate her. Lana said she had bad news. She said she filed a restraining order in Georgia against Rusev because he’s a monster so the Last Man Standing won’t be happening tonight.

Lana ordered the referee to declare Lashley the winner by forfeit. The referee rang the bell and raised Lashley’s arm as the winner.

Kevin Owens came out and said things weren’t going to end like this. He insulted the heels and joked about Lana no longer having a Russian accent.

Lashley said Owens could come in the ring and get the “ass whipping” he was going to give Rusev instead. Owens agreed.

The ring announcer said the match was official, but it was announced as just a regular one fall match and not the Last Man Standing stipulation.

Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley

Lashley beat Owens by Disqualification when Rusev ran in and attacked Lashley as Lashley was going to use the chair that Lana handed him on Owens.

Rusev beat up Lashley into the crowd. Lashley got a brief upper hand and took it back in the ring. They used a kendo stick as a weapon. Rusev hit Lashley with a chair and then kicked the chair into his face to send him out out the ring.

They’re not showing the entire event, the show went off the air on WWE Network. They never intended it to be the full event live on the service. It was only a short special with a couple of matches. I didn’t have any trouble watching it, but several people said WWE Network crashed and WWE ended up airing it free on YouTube.

Here are the matches after the WWE Network Special ended.

Alister Black pinned Andrade after The Black Mask. After the match, Zelina Vega complained about the loss and said Andrade wanted another match.

Ricochet came out and pinned Andrade in about a minute or so.

They announced Raw will be in Atlanta on 3/30/20.

Randy Orton pinned AJ Styles after the RKO. Lots of CM Punk chants during it.

Roman Reigns pinned Baron Corbin after the spear.

WWE Universal Champion The Fiend beat Braun Strowman in a steel cage match by leaving out the door. After the match, Gallows and Anderson came out to taunt Strowman and he beat them up.
