Impact Wrestling and OVW “Sacrifice” results from Louisville, Kentucky at a sold out Davis Arena on 2/22/20 and live on Impact Plus:

Pre-show on Twitch:

Josh Mathews and D-Lo Brown are the announcers.

Brown said Davis Arena is historic hallowed grounds where Jim Cornette, Danny Davis, Rip Rogers, and Al Snow trained and developed the stars of the future over the decades.

Mathews said next month he wants these pre-shows on all social media platforms as well as Twitch to make it easier for fans.

D’Mone Solavino vs. AJ Daniels

They said Daniels was supposed to be in the pre-show last night for “OutBreakbut he was on another OVW show instead and that OVW show was sold out as well.

Daniels got the pin after a 450 splash.

Mathews mockingly ran down the rules of The King of the Mountain match to stretch for time before the next match.

Max The Impaler vs. Cali Young

Max got the pin after a spear despite repeated interference from Young’s “campaign manager”. Young does an American patriotic gimmick where she’s supposed to be running for president.

Main show:

Rohit Raju vs. Corey Storm

Raju got the pin after a diving double stomp.

Impact Tag Team Champions The North (Josh Alexander and Ethan Page) vs. Dez and Wentz

The North used their double team finisher to pin Wentz after interference from Rohit Raju during a ref bump. Real good match with all sorts of action and innovative spots.

There was a backstage interview with Ace Austin and Jimmy Jacobs but you could hardly hear it. There were audio issues with a backstage skit between Willie Mack and Johnny Swinger.

Kiera Hogan vs. Ray Lyn

Hogan got the pin after after Face the Music.

Willie Mack vs. Jay Bradley

Mack got the pin after a couple of stunners and the six star frog splash in a surprisingly quick match.

Backstage promo with OVE hyping the next match and Jake Crist’s match against Daga later.

Mad Man Fulton and Dave Crist (with Jake Crist) vs. Acey Romero and Larry D.

The referee caught Dave Crist with brass knuckles before the bell rang and he made him get rid of it.

D. pinned Crist after a right hand followed up by the pounce from Romero. After the match, Jake Crist helped Fulton attack the winners and Daga made the save to lead into the next match.

Daga vs. Jake Crist

Daga got the pin but I wasn’t able to see how with the picture lag. The ring announcer did announce the win as a pinfall. They had a long time. Crist kicked out of a top rope DVD. Daga kicked out as Crist caught him with a cutter as he came flying off the top rope.

Moose did a backstage interview with Jacobs to hype his match with Rhino tonight.

Johnny Swinger vs. Joey Ryan

Swinger cut a promo before the match and said Ryan looks like a combination of Freddy Mercury and George “The Animal” Steel. He said he’s a serious wrestler and a technician. He was carrying a VHS tape because his gimmick is retro 1980s. It’s supposed to be of all his greatest matches. He said he would give the tape to Ryan if Ryan agreed to lay down and let him win.

Ryan agreed and stuffed the tape down his trunks. He laid down and let Swinger cover him but of course it was all a plan and he rolled Swinger up with an inside cradle for a near fall.

Ryan got the pin on Swinger after Sweet Tooth Music. The first time Ryan tried to use the lollipop he accidentally shoved it in the referee’s mouth. Swinger hit him in the head with the VHS tape while the referee was distracted.

Impact Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace vs. Havok

Grace got the win by referee stoppage with a sleeper.

Tessa Blanchard was interviewed by Jacobs backstage. She said no titles were on the line tonight but if Ace Austin beats her, she will give him a title shot. But she said if she wins, she would like to add X-Division Champion to her list.

“Wildcat” Chris Harris was shown in the crowd. The announcers said he will be part of the TNA reunion event in April.

Moose vs. Rhino

Rhino won by Disqualification after a low blow right in front of the referee. As Moose was leaving the ring, Rhino got on the mic and challenged him to a No DQ Match.

Rhino vs. Moose in a No DQ Match

Moose got the pin after a spear into a table set up in the corner. Rhino used a stapler gun to the crotch of Moose. Moose later used a hammer on the foot of Rhino.

Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard vs. X-Division Champion Ace Austin in a non-title match

Blanchard got the pin after a buzzsaw DDT on the top turnbuckle in a very good match.

They told a good story with Austin playing a smart opponent in having all of Blanchard’s key moves well-scouted to counter her. She went for the mini Magnum but he fought her off before she was finally able to hit it. She went for the buzzsaw DDT (after hitting the three suicide dives) but he turned it into a Northern Lights Suplex. She tried to go for it again and her rushed her into a corner. She came off the top rope with a Magnum but he caught her on the way down with a spin kick. She gave him a tilt a whirl DDT followed by a Canadian Destroyer but he kicked out.
