Wrestling... with Demons; Mistress Of The Mat; No Prima Donna; horror; paranormal; philosopher stone; Prog Rock; Fair Play; Apocalypse in 9/8.
The site is dedicated in memory of Michigan hotline host "Coach" Kurt Schneider for helping me discover the world of "insider news" and pro wrestling from around the world back in 1985 when I was a child. Special Thanks to "scream queen" Linnea Quigley and the late Art Bell.
I’ve moved on yet again in the competitive world of pro wrestling news sites.
Pro Sports Extra has brought me in to provide content for them and it’s an actual real job. So many other sites promise to pay staff and contributors and never follow up or tell people they have no budget to pay them.
Just a bit of an update before Ice Ribbon starts in a few minutes on YouTube..
I don’t know what this site will look like on Monday or Tuesday. The business plan is set to expire which means the SEO and certain themes and other options will be lost. Basically it’s probably going to look like a jabroni free site that won’t be on the radar of search engines and a scaled back theme.
W.W.D. has moved over to Blogger, and so far I’m happy with it, but still figuring some options out. I’m getting much more traffic hits on there compared to here which is great.
I had a nice conversation with the Blogger staff. They told me transferring over the address would cost the same as having a new website address and it may take days or weeks to transfer which would leave me without a site in the process.
I’m trying to transfer over the http://www.wrestlingwithdemons.net address. But in the meantime, head to Blogger today for news on the indie wrestling star in Hustler Magazine plus NOAH and Choco Pro 5 results coming up later today (cheap clickbait, I know).
I don’t know where we will end up just yet, but Wrestling… with Demons will no longer be active here on Word Press as far as new updates go starting this week. Our business deal is expiring and I want to move on instead of continuing as a free site on WP.
Thanks for your time and support. Today’s NOAH show results at 7am EST will probably be the test of what new platform W.W.D. goes to. Followers are always nice, but I’m more concerned with always trying to get information out to the general public as quickly and accurately as I possibly can.
“Bonehill Road” (2017), the werewolf and creepy house in the woods thriller, is now up to watch for free on Tubi. It features “the matriarch” of Wrestling… with Demons, scream queen Linnea Quigley. https://tubitv.com/video/519103
It’s an indie horror film written, directed, edited and co-produced by Todd Sheets. I know there was a real labour of love that went into making it with a lot of fun on set.
With so much pro wrestling getting shut down around the world because of the virus, this site will go into other directions I find of interest in hopes of keeping it active each day.
Ice Ribbon results of their no fans show from Saitama, Japan 🇯🇵 at the dojo on 4/11/20 and streaming live on YouTube for the first time and simulcast on Nico Video https://www.youtube.com/user/iceribbon
A couple of changes to the card: it was supposed to be Banny Oikawa vs. Satsuki Totoro but Oikawa is out after undergoing a dental procedure this week. Totoro will now face Maika Ozaki. Suzu Suzuki was to face trainee Ishikawa in an exhibition match but Ishikawa’s temperature was a little high so that match is now scratched in the lineup out of precaution.
Fans have the option of donating tips in the chat room because their has been no live gate/paying fans due to the virus pandemic.
At the moment there will be more live streaming no fans shows set for 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, and 5/4.
Satsuki Totoro vs. Maika Ozaki
Ozaki got the pin after a diving senton.
Thekla vs. Akane Fujita
This is Fujita’s first match back in Japan after a few weeks. She was here in the USA, and had several bookings set up, but then all of those shows got canceled due to the virus shutting things down. When she came back home to Japan she was in quarantine after traveling.
Fujita got the pin after a driver.
Tsukushi and TsukasaFujimoto vs. Risa Sera and Mochi Miyagi
They went to the time limit draw just as it looked like Fujimoto was about to get a pin.
The action went to the floor early on with Fujimoto and Tsukushi using a baby stroller as a weapon to run over their opponents.
Fujimoto will face Sera on next week’s show.
Yappy vs. Hiragi Kurumi
Kurumi got the pin after the top rope splash.
Maya Yukihi and Ibuki Hoshi vs. Suzu Suzuki and Hamuko Hoshi
Suzukipinned Ibuki after a series of near fall reversals between the two.
This was a fun event that came off like a solid house show. All the wrestlers stopped by to the announcers desk between matches to chat with fans in the chat rooms watching the simulcast. It was a good introduction to Ice Ribbons for people who haven’t seen the product before.

There was a recent article from Tokyo Sports that claims the DDT Group is looking at changing the name of DDT Universe this year. That could be a good possibility since NOAH is now also so heavily featured in their streaming. It also noted that subscriptions to the service have gone up by 20% in the last month due to the virus pandemic and they might be looking at adding on other promotions from around the world including the USA.

Brookes somehow managed to fit through one of the windows and did a diving knee drop on Akki. Sakura later followed up and gave a splash to one of Akki’s legs then acted like she was riding a surfboard standing on his leg.
Brookes submitted Mizumori with a Manji Gatame for the win.
Chris Brookes won the Tropical Yahoo Game over everyone else to win the chocolate prize. He gave his prize to Suruga.
Alamo Drafthouse is following in the steps of other indie art house theatre chains by streaming rarely seen films and cult classics for a price during the virus pandemic. A percentage of the “virtual movie ticket” cost will go to The Will Rogers Motion Picture Foundation Assistance Fund to help movie theater employees out of work with everything shut down due to the virus.
“ROAR” was one of the most dangerous and difficult movies ever made, taking over a decade to produce. It was never released in the United State until 2015 (on DVD, VOD, and TCM) and ended up being a box office bomb when it was initially released in other parts of the world in 1981. It is directed Noel Marshall and stars Marshall and his famous family at the time: Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith, along with his sons Jerry Marshall and John Marshall.
For many years I actually thought it was an urban legend. Then in 2001, a friend of mine in Seattle was able to get a VHS copy for us through a friend of his who worked for a movie studio in Japan. The version we saw was in English with Japanese subtitles.
To say the movie’s plot is uneven would be an understatement. It starts off as a “family friendly” Disney nature ripoff then it turns into another “When Animals Attack” horror picture which were so common throughout the 1970s to early 1980. It’s almost as if Marshall gave up on the script after a few rewrites and decided to remake Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” (which of course also starred his wife Hedren) and replaced the birds with lions and tigers. Like a lot of movies in those days, it’s rated PG but probably should have been R so not to shock unknowing families.
There is absolutely NO special effects CGI used. These are real lions, tigers, elephants, hippos and just about every other wild animal that you can think of. It was filmed in California but the setting is supposed to be Tanzania. For several years during production, Marshall and Hedren actually had many of the lions and tigers living with them at their house and treated them as if they were average house cats.
Depending on who you believe, over hundred people may have been injured on the set. It was incredibly lucky that no humans or animals were killed at all. Griffith was mauled by a lion and needed several stitches and surgery (her injury was not shown in the version I saw but the alleged photo of it was used in alternate posters to hype the movie). Hedren was bitten by animals and suffered a broken leg after being thrown from an elephant. Noel Marshall landed in the hospital several times after getting bitten. He told the press that he believed over a hundred were injured overall. Hedren disputed his claims and thought there were only about seven people seriously injured, including herself. She admitted that she didn’t know how anyone survived when it was all over.
